Solutions - Sustainable Solutions for a Future Worth Living

Solutions is an environmental photo book that offers its readers hope and insight into how a just and ecological world is possible. Solutions is much more than just a photo book, however, as readers learn through engaging articles in German and English how the Earth came to be in its current disastrous state and, in the next step, receive concrete answers on how to live in harmony with nature. To capture this, photographer Tina Eichner traveled the world for three years with her analog camera. She visited a house built from trash that is self-sufficient in energy, heat, water, and food. Her journey took her to the Sanne family, who installed a solar panel on their balcony, and she discovered the floating university in Berlin. These are just a few examples from a long list, as the book explores topics and projects in the areas of mobility, the circular economy, social change, renewable energy, education, consumption, biodiversity, sustainable construction, and protest.

Solutions ist ein Umwelt–Fotobuch welches seinen Betrachter:innen Hoffnung und Wissen darüber vermittelt, das eine gerechte und ökologische Welt möglich ist. Dabei ist Solutions viel mehr als ein reines Fotobuch, denn die Leser:innen erfahren in spannenden Artikeln auf Deutsch und auf Englisch, wie es zum derzeitigen desaströsen Zustand der Erde kommen konnte und erhalten im nächsten Schritt konkrete Antworten darauf, wie sich ein Leben im Einklang mit der Natur realisieren ließe. Dafür reiste die Fotografin Tina Eichner drei Jahre lang mit ihrer analogen Kamera durch die Welt.

Sie besuchte ein Haus, welches aus Müll gebaut ist und sich selbst mit Energie, Wärme, Wasser und Nahrung versorgt. Ihr Weg führte zu Familie Sanne, die ein Solarmodul auf ihrem Balkon installiert haben und sie lernte die schwimmende Universität in Berlin kennen.
